Yesterday was amazing - 66 degrees for the high. That's right - we ran errands with sweatshirts and NOT jackets on yesterday. Do you realize the simple blessing of getting a toddler in and out of a car with a sweatshirt and not a jacket. It's wonderful. And then of course comes the outside play time. Aiden is still pretty stand-off-ish with other kiddos (especially when they're bigger), but he's also very observant of them and then tries to sort of keep up with them. I tried taking pictures, but really I think there's only so many pictures you all want to see of him on the same playground equipment. Yesterday we did venture off into the trees a little bit because sticks are still his favorite outdoor toy.
Today it will be in the 50's - still an awesome day. I think this weekend we're supposed to actually have some winter weather but the rest of the week looks like outdoor activities will be in the forecast. We need some winter weather to make us get some stuff done around the house here! Mike had play time outside with Aiden and Emma when he got home last night. He got to have a good chat with our backyard neighbors who basically said they were relieved when we moved in (apparently the house south to us used to have some messy residents.) Mike has also rigged a great outdoor toy for Emma and all three of them played with that some last night. Good times when you can enjoy some family time outdoors . . . in the evening . . . in Nebraska . . . in January!!
