Well, Aiden and I made it to MOPS this morning. It always seems like a challenge on those days, but it is totally worth the challenge. The usual format for the meeting is time for breakfast, announcements, speakers, and then we meet in our discussion group to go over our thoughts on the topic and any prayer requests. Today we had four mini-lectures we could choose from. Aiden and I went to the one on working/balancing family/owning your own business. It was pretty interesting. Two women led the talk. One is a professor at SMU and the other owns her own business. Basically they said that things in life are seasonal, and it's important to constantly evaluate if the work situation you are in is helping or hindering the family. It's important to be flexible and have dreams that you may need to hold on to until the kids get a bit older. They also said it's important to have your husband's support in whatever work situation you're in. Also, not to think you'll have a ton of time when the kids start school because you won't.
I have started wearing my hair in a ponytail almost every day as my hair seems to be the new toy of choice. Otherwise, we're gearing up for Daddy Daycare tomorrow!
