Mike had his cataract surgery and lens replacement today. It went really well. He was back there just under an hour. And Aiden did really well too. He got tired and I think he took a little catnap on me, but he didn't scream or really fuss at all in the lobby. Which was awesome. I always get nervous about that. Other moms just give you a sympathetic look, but some people just give you the annoyed eye. However, that was not an issue today.
We go back early tomorrow morning and they'll remove his eye patch. Too bad - it's excellent fodder for jokes! Mike's feeling a little sleepy (he was on-call last night as well, but didn't have a very crazy night), but overall he feels just fine. Merry Christmas Daddy - have some vision!!
